Baba Marta Burzala 4
Baba Marta Burzala 4 – an event for children and adults, which unites the good Bulgarian traditions and sport with solidarity, tolerance and equality.
For a fourth consecutive year The Refugee Project organizes the charity fun run Baba Marta Burzala 4 which will take place on 10th March (Saturday) in Borisova garden. The event is suitable for all ages (including families with children) and the free registration for participation is already open.
The beginning of the event is at 11:00 o’clock in front of the summer stage, where every participant can do their warming up and charge with a good energy. The run will start at 12:00 o’clock. The first 100 participants will get T-shirts and other accessories which will help them turn into Pizho and Penda so that the run is more colourful and entertaining. The winners will be awarded with hand-made martenitsa-medals. After the awards there will be fun games for the children and the adults, as well as a special program with Bulgarian, Kurdish, Arabic and Afghan songs and dances, prepared by the kids and teenagers from the registration-reception centres of the State agency for refugees in Ovcha Kupel, Vrazhdebna and Voenna Rampa.
The participation is free but at the day of the event you can make a donation and support the educational activities and the cultural events and excursions which every week are being organized by the volunteers for the children and adults looking for protection in Sofia.
Mark 10th March in your calendar and come so that together we can share this beautiful Bulgarian tradition! Let the solidarity, tolerance and equality be the principles which guide our actions in the days of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, not just nice words.
